Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee 2008-2012

OPDEC 2008-2012 is committed to building a strong neighborhood-based Democratic Party by using the civic involvement fostered in post-Katrina rebuilding to serve the Democratic community in New Orleans.

With 184,317 Democrats currently registered to vote in Orleans Parish, OPDEC is the largest of Louisiana’s 64 Democratic Parish Executive Committees and begins the term eagerly. 

OPDEC’s diverse membership, including leaders in government and business, student, community, and party leaders of all ages, elected the following leaders:

OPDEC currently has an Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Rules and By-Laws Committee, Resolutions Committee, and Special Activities Committee.
